Director of Volunteer Services (click for full description)

The Director of Volunteer Services organizes and implements a complete volunteer service program including recruitment, training and coordination across multiple departments. The position serves as the primary contact for volunteers, which includes support groups and interns. The Director will work to enable the organization’s volunteer program with the objective of obtaining “Service Enterprise” certification, incorporating volunteer participation and engagement as a core strategic function to accomplish the YMCA’s mission. Responsibilities include identifying work throughout the organization that can be accomplished by volunteers, and promoting their services. In addition to supporting goal achievement and the accomplishment of specific tasks, ambassadorship by volunteers and nurturing of greater connection to the organization is a key purpose. This full time position includes competitive benefit package. Salary negotiable depending on experience.

Youth Development:

Director of Teen Programs (click for full description)

Walla Walla YMCA is looking for a self-starter to lead YMCA teen initiatives as Director of Teen Programs. This position is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of a broad range of programs for youth between the ages of 11 to 18, including programs in the areas of character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills, the arts, fitness and recreation.  Provides leadership and supervision to program and volunteer staff; manages budget and controls expenses as assigned. The key focus of this program is providing a community teen center that is both supportive while also promoting teen success. Full time position includes competitive benefit package. Salary negotiable depending on experience. Work hours may vary to cover evenings and weekends.
