The Action Zone is a supervised “drop-in” area. Enjoy a variety of activities including computers, board games, game tables, Wii, Xbox games and more.

Goju Ryu Karate is designed for self-defense and is excellent for self-discipline. It retains many of the circular movements and artistic beauty of Chinese Kung Fu. Students are tested at the end of each session to be promoted or held at their appropriate rank.
Karate Registration is now open for the next session 6/1-7/1.

Rookie Basketball League: Rookie League is a great way to spend quality time with your child and introduce them to the sport of basketball. Teach your child basketball fundamentals and techniques alongside our YMCA coaches. Program T-shirt included. Ages: 4-5 Kindergarten Basketball League: This is a parent-child class.
Pebbles: This class teaches the fundamentals of rock climbing while also building confidence. Children will gain balance, body awareness and strength. Ages 4-6.
Pitons: Teaches all the beginning skills necessary to earn a YMCA climbing wall card and participants will be able to take our climbing proficiency test the last class.
Bouldering is open to all members ages 4 and up. Kids 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Top rope climbing requires a climbing card.
Seasonal or temporarily paused programs:
3D Printing, Drawing & Painting: This new and exciting program will teach participants to combine technology and creativity by creating 3-dimensional objects they will take home. Participants will work on developing models throughout the course at their own pace and learn the different ways 3D printing works.
Learn the basics of fishing! Children will learn how to tie and bait their own hooks, cast, set the hook and reel in the big fish. Fishing trips will be to Bennington Lake; equipment and transportation is provided. Parent participation is encouraged on fishing trips.
Jr. Great Lego Adventure
Students work together as a small team of young engineers to build Lego robots. The design is based on their group’s blueprint. This class is great for children who are hands-on and like working together in teams.
Minecraft Builder: Students will get a chance to work as a group to build their own Minecraft world. Move into the more advanced aspects of Minecraft by exploring mega builds, dynamic planning, red-stone mechanics and a touch of mods. All students will be able to use Minecraft at the Y.
Enjoy the computer lab and work on your Minecraft world during open computer lab sessions, A staff member will be available to assist you.
