Walla Walla, WA – The City of Milton-Freewater and the the Walla Walla YMCA are teaming up to provide pool operations and aquatics services for the 2020 outdoor swim season.
The City’s Public Works department will continue to coordinate all facility operations, including facility management, season passes, daily admissions, concessions and rentals.
Linda Hall, City Manager said, ”The Milton-Freewater aquatics facility is an important community resource and efforts are underway to open for Memorial Day weekend. The family-friendly nature of the pool makes it ideally suited to the needs of our community. We asked the YMCA to provide our lifeguarding services, as we believe they are the perfect partner to provide certified lifeguarding and swim instruction programs in Milton-Freewater.”
A key goal of this collaboration is the development of a sustainable community-staffed aquatics team in Milton-Freewater. To that end, the YMCA is actively recruiting local lifeguards. For information about these positions, candidates are encouraged to contact the YMCA’s HR Director, Cassie Siegal.
