GROUP EXERCISE CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Group Exercise classes are included with membership, with the exception of Qigong and TRX where there is an additional cost.

Balance and Strength
We use a variety of props such as weights, bands, and balls, in addition to chairs and the wall. All exercises are designed to build core and overall strength and improve balance.

Family Fit
This class is for the whole family and focuses primarily on core strength, weight loss, muscular endurance, and cardiovascular movement. Join us on Facebook live!

Gentle Yoga
This a good choice for those new to yoga, recovering from illness or injury, moms-to-be, and those with limited mobility. You will be gently challenged, while encouraged to honor your body.

Indoor Cycling
Utilizing stationary bikes this class simulates hills, flats and speed work all set to music and/or timed intervals. Great for all fitness enthusiasts!

Maintain Your Health
This small, instructor-lead, group class is designed for those who have experienced or are currently in challenging health situations. Heart attack, stroke, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and auto-immune illnesses are all examples of chronic conditions that we will address through exercise. Non-members may receive a 7-visit complimentary pass with doctor referral.

MELT
The MELT Method is simple self-care using soft balls and a soft body roller to reduce the negative effects of aging and an active life. The MELT Hand and Foot Treatments are “global” treatments, where we treat the hands and feet to stimulate a whole-body response using small balls. The MELT Soft-Foam Roller is designed for localized work throughout the body, using very specific techniques to achieve results. MELT helps restore fluidity, flexibility, and relieve pain by reducing connective tissue dehydration. You’ll learn to easily support your own resilience, reduce and prevent pain, improve athletic performance, and reduce recovery time.

Mind-Body Fitness  – Immune Boost                                                                                  Learn to utilize many techniques to support your immune system! We will focus on exercises and practices Meditation, Breathwork, Qigong, Tai Chi, MELT & strength training to support your wellness. Similar to the Maintain Your Health classes, this series will give you an opportunity to explore a range of traditional and modern techniques to add to your self-care tool box. Participants improve body awareness, cultivate efficient breathing, wake up the senses from head to hands to feet, calm the mind, strengthen the body and learn to move with ease! Karin seamlessly combines the concepts and techniques to boost vitality and support an active life.

PiYo® Live
PiYo® LIVE combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility of flowing yoga movements. You’ll use your bodyweight to perform a series of continuous, targeted moves to define every single muscle – big and small. We crank up the music, the speed, and the fun to give you an intense, yet low-impact workout that will burn crazy calories for a long lean beautiful physique. You’ll sweat, stretch, and strengthen – all in one empowering PiYo® LIVE workout!

Power Pump
Power Pump is a full-body weight workout that mixes powerful music with weight training. This class targets all your major muscle groups using a barbell, bench and weights. Formats change every 6 weeks to keep your workout challenging and effective.

R.I.P.P.E.D. The One Stop Body Shock®
Experience this total body, “plateau proof fitness formula.” This workout utilizes resistance and cardio training masterfully combining Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics, Endurance and Diet. This combination helps you attain and maintain your physique in ways that are fun, safe and extremely effective.

Stress Relief & Relaxation
If stress is playing a bigger role in your life than you would like; you are not alone. Modern science is proving out that excess stress can be quite harmful, as it compromises our health physically, mentally, and emotionally. In this class we will focus on techniques to manage stress in order to rebalance our hormones as well as learn some of the science that’s behind it all. May you feel relaxed and rejuvenated when you leave.

Tai Chi
Yang Style Tai Chi is an ideal way to embody change and recover resilience. Find your inner tortoise, strengthen your legs and back, soften tension, and quiet the mind. Well known for its health benefits, Tai Chi is moving meditation that improves flexibility and strength, promotes mind/body relaxation, increases energy, enhances fluidity, and allows for conscious, graceful movement. Specific benefits include decompressing joints, hydrating tissue and muscles, improving energy, and enhancing longevity.

The 8 Treasures (Ba Duan Jin)                                    
What is Qigong? Say “chee-gong”, meaning life-force energy that is cultivated and increased over a period of time. 8 Treasures Qigong has been passed down through the generations as an exercise set to maintain good health and increase vitality. There are many variations of the form, each with slight differences, but the basic movements still maintain many similarities. The 8 Treasures has eight routines that serve to expand breathing capacity, increase energy and blood flow, strengthen the legs and torso, increase flexibility as well as calm the body and mind. It is a deceptively simple routine that yields great benefits to the conscientious practitioner. You will learn each of the routines in depth and will be able to practice on your own.  $

TRX®
This TRX® Suspension Training class is a revolutionary total-body fitness program that uses gravity against the individual’s own body weight to simultaneously develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability.  $

Yoga
The intention for this class is found through discovery, exploration and awareness of the inner body. While attention is placed on alignment and working deeply into the poses, the inspiration comes from within you, the student. Allow your yoga practice to unfold; all levels are welcome. Also offered via Facebook Live on Saturday mornings only.

Yoga/Pilates Fusion
An accessible all-levels class ideal for yogis who want to ease into Pilates while staying within a yoga practice. Enjoying the best of both worlds, we explore the precision and control required in the Pilates method, laying a foundation for advancing our practice and building the core strength that inevitably follows. We strive to find calmness with breath, body awareness and strength that can enhance the exercises. Modifications and easier versions of exercises are demonstrated.

Zumba®
Zumba® is a Latin-inspired, dance, fitness class that incorporates Latin and international music and dance moves. The routines feature interval style training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that keep you moving to the beat! No dance experience necessary. Come ready to shake it!
