AMERICAN RED CROSS WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR TRAINING

This certification course is for those persons ages 16 and over who desire swim lesson instructor certification. This Water
Safety Instructor course is for those who love the water, love teaching, and are ready to help our community’s children learn life-saving swimming skills. This is not a lifeguard training course. There is no certification prerequisite for this course, however, participants must be at least 16 years old and able to swim comfortably in deep water. They should know freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, elementary backstroke and at least be able to attempt butterfly, and sidestroke. We will work on polishing strokes in class as well. Be a mentor to our young swimmers! Water Safety Instructor (WSI) is a nationally recognized American Red Cross certification. Most aquatic facilities in the United States honor this certification for their swim lesson instructor staff.
