Located in the back of the Action Zone, the Tech Lab offers a variety of courses for both youth and adults that will enhance computer knowledge. YOUTH CLASSES 

Kids Animation Club
Become an Animator! This class will teach the principles of Animation (squash, stretch and timing). Children will explore the world of animation and learn how to create their own animated shorts. Students will put on an event to show case themselves and their animated short.
Ages 11-18   

Kids News Club
Become a community news reporter! This class will provide opportunities to research and report on events happening at the Y and around our community.  Through interviewing community members, students will become more aware of what is happening in our community.  They will also learn about the roles of writing, directing and interviewing. Game Design
This course will build on previous participants exposure to game design.

Animation
This course will build on previous participants exposure to animation.
Ages 8-13

Comic Book Making
Learn how to create comic books, from writing to drawing. Tell your own story through the medium of comic books. This class will use traditional pens and pencils as well as computers to create our web comic books.
Ages 8-13

Making Movie Special Effects
Learn how to make movie special effects. From green screens to laser swords.
Ages 11-18

Stop Motion Movie Making
Learn to make brick movie stop motion animations with legos.
Ages 8-18

Robotics Construction Set
Students will be able to build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensors.
Ages 8-13
