Adult Aquatic Classes
YMCA aquatic programs meet a variety of fitness needs and interests. We offer classes to help members rehabilitate, workout or learn a new skill.
Body Recall I - This is a class for people who
want a water strength training and body movement
class that will help improve range of motion, balance and body core stability.
Fall and Winter : Mon/Wed/Fri 8:00-9:00 a.m.
Body Recall II - A milder pace for those with injuries and limitations that prevent aggressive land workouts.
Fall and Winter : Mon/Wed/Fri 8:00-9:00 a.m.
Masters Swim - This a competitive aquatic
fitness program for swimmers age 18 and up.
Fall and Winter: Tuesday/Thursday 5:30-6:30 a.m.
Water Aerobics
A great way to get that heart rate up, just like the land-based classes,
without the stress on the joints.

Lap Swim - For YMCA members in high school or older. A great way to get, and stay, in shape. (Please swim in the appropriate lane for your level and be prepared to circle swim if there is a higher than normal swimmer load during your swim time. Ask the lifeguard if you have a question regarding lap swim etiquette.)

Mothers-To-Be
Perfect class for expecting mothers to exercise and meet other expecting
mothers in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Free to members/$81 for Program Members.
Adult Swim Lessons
If you have never been a swimmer or you want to improve your swimming skills, this is the class for you. Class is limited to four, so please sign up early.

Monday/Wednesday 3:00-3:30 p.m.

Adult WARM Water Exercise Classes
Meet in the warm water therapy pool. Free to members, $35 for Program Members.
WARM Group Group instruction for those with physical limitations who will benefit from
exercise in a warm water environment.

Special Aquatics Programs
Scuba Diving
NAUI Basic Scuba Diver certification course that teaches dive safety through class lectures, pool sessions and a weekend dive trip to Whidbey Island WA. Minimum age is 12 years old.

Lifeguard Training
American Red Cross certification course that provides the skills and training necessary to
obtain a job as a professional lifeguard. Class
training includes CPR for the Professional Rescuer
and First Aid certification. Minimum age is 15 years old.

Interest List Classes
Swim Lesson Aide - Provides training to individuals who wish to assist instructors in
teaching swim lessons. Minimum age is 10 and should be swimming at Red Cross level
4 or YMCA Fish level.
Guard Start - Designed to guide youth through the American Red Cross junior
life guarding program by building a foundation of knowledge attitudes and skills for future life guarding. For ages 11 to 14 years.
Snorkeling - Individual or group snorkeling lessons for any ability and age.
W.S.I. (Water Safety Instructor) - This course trains instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross swimming lessons and water safety classes. Minimum age is 16 years old.
Community Water Safety - American Red Cross Basic Water Rescue certification that provides individuals who do not want lifeguard certification with the information and skills necessary to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies.
